Bright Like Daylight

Oh hi folks! Say hello to my new haircut and bye-bye to my curls (which are still quite evident for a few centimetres in some parts of my hair). I decided to chop of a long portion of  my hair since I seriously am having a hard time untangling all the fuss behind my nape which isn't really evident to everyone unless I whip my hair back and forth (admit it. You remembered Willow Smith's song) sslloowwllyy.

[My ear is saying hi :)]
Whether you've noticed it or not, I'll just be pointing out as usual. If you follow me on Instagram and see my OOTDs, you'll notice that I've been wearing pants most of the time though it's still summer. Well, I have some personal reasons and they're not for the world to find out. What I'm trying to tell you is how to wear pants in summer without having to irritate your legs the whole time.

Wear pants that aren't skinny (Well, speak for yourself missy). These floral pants that you've just recently seen (I don't blog everything I wear) aren't really skinny. They're not embracing my legs so they're slightly giving you an aircon type of clothes feeling. Better yet, choose other cuts of jeans like boot leg or straight cut or whatever other cut you prefer.

Wear something comfortable for your top. Sleeveless tops work their magic during the summer so make sure  to make use of this. I once again wore this DIY top that I wore a month ago as a cover up. If you don't like the sleeveless idea, wear clothes made of cotton. It helps a lot too.

Red Round

Because my creativity level is already measuring up to critical at this moment, I can't think of a better title than a jazzed up song title of the song I'm LSS-ing about right now.
To those hearts that are still on cloud nine and feel like wearing more red but less in a whole outfit, here's to you.
If you think I'm just pertaining to wearing red accessories on dull coloured clothes, well it's not entirely like that. I pulled out this plain white shirt from my closet and paired it with these elephant pants in black. IDK why, but i just found it somehow formal and dinner-date-on-any-occasion appropriate colour combo.
If you think my next tip will be to wear those oh, so loud coloured accessories, I'm not there yet but I'll get to it.
Surprise! Surprise! Try picking pieces that are tame at the front and party at the back. Now if you're brave enough, you can skip the part of choosing a popping colour for the bandeau. But since I'm not that type, I chose to wear red to match the theme of the day. Now go and accessorize!

How To: Fringe Bottom Top

Yay to my first "how to" post!
Since it's my first, please disregard all errors. And thank you.
Want something similar to this top I'm wearing? Scroll down to see how to make one!
Before anything else, grab and wear your creativity cap.

Next, look for these thingies:

A shirt you'd want to jazz up. Or if you're not brave enough to destroy one (just in case. I was afraid of that too) grab and old shirt.
I used an old shirt for this tutorial actually.

A pair of scissors that could cut cloth

And fabric paint or fabric coloring materials. These are totally optional. Just to give you an idea if you want to totally personalize your shirt.
Step 1: Cut of the hem of your shirt

Step 2: Cut vertically from the bottom until you're halfway up the shirt and make spaghetti strands. Do this until you've gone around the whole shirt.

Step 3: Stretch each strand to make them long and curl at the end.

Step 4: Decorate if desired.

And there you have it!

Sparkles and Fringe

Before anything else, let me first greet my mom a whooping Belated Happy Birthday!

Family dinner out just gave me the perfect excuse to wear my newest DIY creation. My own fringe neck piece! If you know Bubbles accessories or Verniece Enciso, or whoever sells or frequently wears a fringe necklace, this would be totally familiar. Call it out of trend but I'd wear it anyway and make a trend of my own.

Got a sparkly top you don't know how to wear? I've got it dressed down for you today.
I totally understand how it's a slight problem on how to wear sparkly stuff like my blouse here.
First, I chose to pair it with dark coloured jeans, a totally dressed down feel.

Next, I put on this fringe necklace to somehow give a soft feel at the front. It actually becomes the focus of the eye and the sparkles don't end up too much to look at.
Then I chose a pair of loafers that complement my necklace  for a totally laid back feel!

BTW, sorry about the blurry or grainy photos. We're still working on this lack of techie knowledge.

Don't Look Back

Because I'm one big heck of a DIY fan, don't be surprised at how fast I was able to make a cut-out-shirt-at-the-back I learned from Kryz Uy's latest post. Yep, that's right. LATEST (It's not really a messy DIY and the shirt has been washed and ironed :D). Teehee. I'm such a fan of both DIY and @Kryzzzie

As soon as I saw her latest post about DIYed tees, I immediately went gaga over them and decided to make my own ASAP. And as soon as possible it is!

I don't usually wear things that reveal my back since I really don't own a nice one but I really liked this DIY so I highly considered wearing it. I chose to wear something bright under the tee to make the cut's more eye catching. And of course, a bright yellow bandeau did a great peek-a-boo job.

I was actually in an almost all out DIY attire. My necklace and shorts are also hand crafted by moi. I thought the bright yellow bandeau looked great paired with something that had bright things saying "hello" to everyone I passed by.

Say it with Class

I've been so busy lately as stated in my previous post. But, YAY me! I'm able to produce a blog worthy post today! :)

For once in my life, I opt to use a handbag. HANDBAG I repeat. It's really a hassle for me to carry handbags since I like having my hands free and able to do stuff. Plus, I'm not that mature feeling looking so I don't really think it fits me. Well, today's outfit just screams for a matching bag.

Instead of the usual the-neon/bright-item-should-stand-out, I chose o make my white button-up blouse to be the one that stands out. So, all my other pieces appear to be in the same color scheme.

Have you ever noticed that butterfly ring on my pointing finger in all my posts? Yes, it never leaves my finger unless I'm required to do so like COCC afternoons.

Plus today, there's an it's-like-ice-cream-cuz-it-makes-me-smile thingy that I saw on my mail/comments section. Famous Filipino fashion blogger (she's one of those not-so-many bloggers I admire) Alyssa Lapid commented on this blog. Swell isn't it! :D
